Advanced Clinical Trainings in EMDR, CBT, and Beyond

I provide trainings for mental health professionals seeking deeper clinical skill, conceptual clarity, and practical application of evidence-based approaches. My work covers EMDR, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and other unique topics to enhance your clinical practice. Each training carries an emphasis on structured case formulation and trauma-informed care.

I am a Certified CBT Therapist and CBT Trainer Consultant. EMDRIA also recognizes me as a Certified EMDR Therapist and EMDR Consultant-in-Training. I currently serve as a Clinical Trainer at UCLA Health.

Past Trainings

This workshop explores the complex and interconnected physical, mental, and substance use health challenges facing rural communities, with a focus on why integrated care is essential in settings with limited access and resources. Participants will gain an overview of rural health disparities, key social and structural determinants of health, and the unique cultural contexts that shape care delivery, including considerations for individuals with disabilities and the impact of stigma. The presentation highlights how co-occurring conditions are best addressed through whole-person, coordinated approaches and outlines practical, actionable strategies such as telehealth, workforce cross-training, community partnerships, and universal screening. Real-world case examples and best practices will demonstrate how rural communities can strengthen care coordination, improve outcomes, and build sustainable, integrated health systems.

Training Philosophy

I believe all good trainings tell a story. My aim is to build engaging training material that helps you recognize particular problems and build the skills to solve them.

I prioritize structured and practical learning. Theory remains important– we must understand the what and why before we can get to the how. Once the theory is clearly and concisely established, I move to talking more about application. I often include case examples to illustrate certain concepts. My greatest hope is that these trainings spark your imagination on how you can best help the clients you serve.

I also offer consultation! And if you’d like to know more about me and my background, click here.
