Consultation for Therapists

Consultation for CBT & EMDR Therapists

Being a therapist can be both deeply meaningful and incredibly challenging. Consultation offers a space to reflect, receive feedback, and feel supported in your work.

I offer consultation for therapists who want to deepen their skills, gain clarity with complex cases, and engage in their work with more confidence and intention.

Consultation is available to licensed clinicians and pre-licensed therapists, depending on training goals and fit.

Who Consultation Is For

Consultation may be a good fit if you are:

  • learning or refining your use of CBT or EMDR

  • preparing for EMDR certification

  • working with complex and/or trauma-impacted clients

  • feeling stuck with a case and want a fresh, grounded perspective

  • seeking consultation that is collaborative rather than evaluative

I work with clinicians in private practice, agency settings, and training contexts.

What Consultation Looks Like

Consultation is offered via secure telehealth and may be:

  • individual or small group

  • ongoing or time-limited

  • focused on specific cases or broader skill development

We can discuss frequency, format, and goals during an initial conversation.

What I Bring to Consultation

My consultation style is collaborative, reflective, and structured. I aim to create a space where curiosity is encouraged and clinical uncertainty is welcomed.

Since starting in this field, I have worked in a variety of
settings, including schools, drug/DUI court, community mental health, and
private practice. I understand each setting comes with its own unique
challenges, so let’s figure out what will best help you and our clients
specifically. I bring years of experience giving trainings and clinical
supervision. And for those looking for more modality-specific help, I am
trained in giving EMDR and CBT consultation.

In consultation, we may focus on:

  • case conceptualization and formulation

  • treatment planning and pacing

  • EMDR case consultation and preparation

  • CBT interventions grounded in theory and clinical nuance

  • therapist experience, countertransference, and decision-making

Rather than offering quick answers, consultation is an opportunity to think together. Let’s integrate theory and technique with the realities of clinical practice.

EMDR Consulting

I am certified by EMDRIA as an EMDR Consultant-in-Training (CIT). I:

  • provide up to 15 hours of individual and/or group consultation toward EMDRIA certification
  • train on increasing skillfulness in all eight phases
  • support with EMDR case conceptualization
  • thoughtful feedback on clinical decision-making

Click here to learn more about EMDR consultation. My approach emphasizes structured, collaborative, and supportive mentorship as therapists master the eight phases.

CBT Consulting

I am certified by the Academy of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy as a CBT Trainer Consultant. I:

  • provide collaborative case formulation
  • introduce helpful CBT  interventions and techniques
  • discuss ways to improve essential CBT skills like guided discovery and developing client-specific homework
  • review session recordings and rate for CBT adherence

CBT consultation is well-suited for clinicians who want structure without rigidity and theory that translates into real clinical work. Read more here!

Stay up to date with public trainings I will be offering here.
